Thursday 31st May
Finally got our Contiki Itinerary today! So I've updated where we are going.
Also notice how I've got some activities booked as well. Moulind Rouge was a headache, but we got it.
You'll also notice I have details of Prague, but from then onwards, I'll be all alone in Europe for about 4 weeks. So I'm going to figure out where I can go still, I have a rough idea, but it still needs to be worked out, I'm not going to wing it.
The best thing is as well, I'm going to be seeing some people I know overseas.
Liz (from Target) will be flying out of Melbourne the same night as Alicia and I, so we might have a drink at the bar to calm us down. Then she will be in Paris while I'm there for Bastille Day, as well as Carla (also from Target).
My Year 12 Health teacher will be in Paris, yes, we've kept in contact. So we plan to have breakfast at or near her hotel on our first morning, then walk aimlessly around Paris.
My Mum's friend and my old podiartrist lives in London now, so she wants to meet up with Alicia and I the day we get into London.
But that's all so far. If anyone else is in Europe, let me know and we should meet up! :)

Sunday 27th May
Maybe I'll need to change a few things around towards the end of my trip. Due to Spain and Portugal being located in the corner of Europe, trains are, what seems to me, the biggest pain in the ass. Overnight trains with bad connections, horrible times, changes at 3am, waiting at the station for an hour for the next train. So maybe I'll look at getting a flight from Bordeaux (yeah I know, getting flights while I'm going to be getting a train ticket probably isn't the smartest of ideas...) to Porto then train to Lisbon to Madrid and work backwards until I reach family in Switzerland.
Now I wrote Zurich because it's the nearest city to where they are, but it looks like a township...like a smaller scale version of Sunbury (minus the knifings I hope because in my mind, the locals should use swords still).
Oh and I even found out that getting the train from Berlin via Hamburg to Copenhagen, the train itself goes onto a ferrie. How insane!

Saturday 26th May
Moulin Rouge didn't actually end up getting booked, so I'll try maybe for an 11pm show, as the 9pm was booked out on the nights we can go.
However Alicia and I have booked a Stonehenge, Windsor Castle and Bath Day Trip which is some good news.
Yesterday Renata booked flights from Krakow to Prague. All I need to do now is just get my EUrail ticket and book my hotels/hostels, find a flight or connetion from Portugal back to France and then Milan to Munich connection and I'm done! Maybe I'll look into some tours as well.

Friday 25th May
People keep asking me where I'm going in Europe, so here is a map of where I'm going.
RED:
Paris > London > Paris > Beaujolais Wine Region > French Riviera > Florance > Rome > Venice > Tyrol > Munich > Swiss Alps > Rhine Valley > Amsterdam
BLUE:
Krakow > Prague > Dresden > Berlin > Copenhagen > Hamburg > Cologne > Frankfurt > Luxembourg > Brusselles > Bordeaux > Barcelona > Madrid > Lisbon > Porto
YELLOW:
Nice > Cannes > Lyon > Geneva > Zurich > Milan > Munich > Milan
So far only red and orange are confirmed and paid for. Blue is in the process of being booked and worked out. From Porto to Nice (blue to yellow) still needs to be worked out, as trains take 24 hours and flights are expensive. Yellow involves visiting family as well as Oktoberfest so that'll be a wonderful break from all the traveling.

Tuesday May 8th
I haven't actually left yet, but I'm still trying to work out where I'm going to go and what I'm going do to. No joke, I haven't got everything done and I leave in exactly 7 weeks.
Once I've figured everything out, I'll post up where I'll be going and when. So if I get the chance to meet up with people, or know of someone where I'm going, let me know and we can work it all out.
