Thursday 5th July

I've never heard Alicia complain so damn much. She knows not to say hello and continue talking in English but she does! I tell her every time either to shut up or at least say some basic French, otherwise we sound like rude Brits or Yanks. Her feet were also hurting all day but she wanted to go to the Louvre and carry a 4kg bag with junk it. But some positives for the day.

For the first time ever I saw the real Mona Lisa. We got up early this morning and found a bakery after going to the ATM. My card didn't work but Alicia's did so she got some money out. We got to the Louvre at 9.15am and without any queues. But we still ran to the Mona Lisa. All up I got about 300 photos there, at least. After a few hours we started getting bored and just rushed through and left at 2.30.

Okay so in Melbourne the trains every 20 minutes off peak. Here in Paris it's pretty much every 2-3 minutes. At night it's about 40 minutes in Melbourne. Paris is 6! Omfg. Melbourne please.

Tonight we went to the Moulin Rogue. It came with a bottle of Henriot champagne (worth about $100 back home) and I had all but two glasses and now I'm writing this pissed on the metro to the hotel. Yay. Was the show worth $140? No. But it was amazing and I loved it. Today was so amazing!!

I went to the Louvre. I did the Champes Elyese. I saw the Arc De Triumph. I did Moulin Rogue. I went walking by some amazing Paris sights. I'm glad I went here first.
