Tuesday 7th August

I decided to leave Renata and Justin alone today and do my own thing. So after talking to the family for about 30 minutes via WiFi I went into the city.

First thing I did was go straight to the tower at St Mary's because it looks like it gives fantastic views. And the sign saying "we invite you to the tower" was welcoming. Don't be fooled, it's not free. Zł5 to go up the tower, zł5 to enter the church and another zł5 to take photos inside. When I was getting photos inside a lady started telling me off that if I wanted to do that I needed to pay. I had no idea that even existed. Thanks for the signage, I thought I just couldn't take photos, but I did because I have no respect like that for stupid rules. So I gladly paid and she was happy and went on her high horse and put a sticker on me. Like I care, that's only $1.50 and she was so happy I paid.

Anyways so the tower! I had to wait 20 minutes because the guy who lets people enter goes on break from 11.30-1. Didn't bother me. I was towards the front and got in first as thy can only let up so many people at a time. The guy at the top said something to everyone after a while and they all took off so I had no idea and hung around a few minutes and left last. However the views were amazing! Better than the tower views at Wawel Castle and worst the money.

For lunch I went to a cafe with wifi and emailed back uni because I was told I'm too late now to complete a supplementary exam and I need to print scan and email back a leave of absence form. Great. Let me use my invisible typewriter. I emailed the uni back saying that's impossible and you know I'm away and I'm lucky to get any internet access. I wrote I want a full explanation why I was told one thing about the amount of subjects I've done and now I'm being told I need to do more and that they don't offer any real support to their students in such situations and that's a poor effort. But then for lunch my quiche came and that was crap. No bigger than the palm of my hand and it was so hard. But still it tasted good.
